Dr. Ann W. Davis, Clinical Associate Professor in the Educational Leadership and Cultural Foundations Department at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro (UNCG), received a Bachelor of Science degree from Wingate College, a Master of School Administration from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, an Educational Specialist degree and a Doctorate in Education from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.

Dr. Davis’ background includes: Mathematics Teacher, Assistant Principal, Principal, Department of Public Instruction High School Turnaround Portfolio Manager, Central Office Executive (Executive Director of Secondary Education, CTE, Middle School Director, Title I and II Director and Associate Superintendent), 1:1 Project Manager, Principal and District Level Support Coach, Race-to-the-Top Reader, Process Analysis and Alignment Consultant and Senior Support Expert for Pearson Education Inc. and Personalized Learning Executive Support Coach.

Dr. Davis is a state and national leader in Personalized Learning and one-to-one 24/7 mobile ubiquitous computing for PK-12 school districts where she has served as a Future Ready Schools and District Support Coach to over seventy school districts across North America guiding the digital transformation from traditional to future ready globally competitive personalized teaching and learning.

She is nationally recognized as North Carolina’s 2006 High School Principal of the Year by the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP). She has also been awarded North Carolina Principal of the Year by NC Principal and Assistant Principal Association (NCPAPA), North Carolina Principal Fellows Academic Scholarship for Educational Leadership – 2nd class and nationally recognized for Excellence in Science and Mathematics Teaching by the Presidential Awards Program. She is author of the 1:1 implementation framework adapted by the USDOE Epic-Ed.

Dr. Davis has served as Co-Principal Investigator on a $1.8 million NCASLD Principal Pipeline Grant serving eleven rural school districts in North Carolina and Principal Investigator of three grants: $200,000 grant - 21st Century Leadership with Instructional Technology Facilitator Certification, Golden Leaf Foundation of North Carolina serving eleven low wealth economically disadvantaged school districts, 2013-2015; $4.5 million grant–IMPACT V: 21st century school and classroom leadership, North Carolina Reform/Change model with EdS Degree and Principal Coaching, North Carolina Department of Public Instruction serving thirteen school districts across North Carolina, 2011 –2013; $40,825 grant– Principal Investigator, Training and Assessments for Instructional Technology, North Carolina Department of Public Instruction, 2011–2012.

In November 2014, Dr. Davis served as a United States Delegate to Finland with the National Association of Secondary School Principals Association (NASSP) on an Excellence in Teaching and Learning Study Tour to Helsinki, Sipoo, Porvoo, Finnish National Board of Education, Minister of Education, Finnish Principals Association and the University of Helsinki.

Dr. Davis also served as a United States Delegate to Australia with the International Society of Technology in Education (ISTE) in September 2012 for an eighteen day study tour of technology in education in Perth, Melbourne and Sydney.

Dr. Davis is a highly sought after motivational speaker, consultant and executive support coach for 21st century teaching, leading and learning.
